"This poperty is away from the town center of Portree and isolated, which is a plus and a minus. It is on a small road with a private gate, there is a parking space. The views are great and it is nice to be able to hike down to the coast. The facilities are more than adequate and comfortable. As the property is run by a corporate agent, there is no personal touch or direct communication. Skye is rustic, as is the location of this place. Keep that in mind. The location is amazing.....about 30 min from Portree and in an off the beaton path location which is Heavan. The views are amazing. "Nice property overall. Back door doesn't lock/secure properly. Overall nice property, however, property needs instructions for washer/dryer and heating system. Coming from a different company and trying to figure these things out was a little frustrating. There was a dog poo the size of Ben Nevis in front of door first 2 days. Someone finally removed it. "We loved our stay in Beachcomber Cottage. It was an ideal place to end our days and it had the same rural vibe as the rest of the Isle. Perfect for a family of four. It was very clean and well maintained with modern appliances in an otherwise traditional house with lots of history. "The apartment was perfect! Loved the quiet location. The only problem we had was communication with the manager. Which was none. We stayed there the end of May and I had been trying to reach someone since February! I was trying to cancel one night, but couldn't get anyone to respond to me. I emailed, as did VRBO.
