"It was an incredible experience to live alone in an abandoned village in Mani. You feel far away from everything and it is a nice feeling. The nearest beach is about 25 minutes driving. The house is always fresh downstairs in the main bedroom. For the persons who like to hike, unfortunately, a fire occured in august 2021 so it is not very pleasant to walk in the countryside around. Mosquitoes could be a challenge also sometimes during the evening (even in the house). The views from the house are...

"We had a lovely time staying at the property, it is nice and quiet, clean and fantastic sea and mountain views. Elias was most helpful and gave us lots of advice on places to eat. It is a 10 minute drive to lovely beaches. Will be back."

"There was plenty of room for us and our three teenagers in this beautiful house. It is located in the midst of an olive grove, with a view on Messinian bay and walking paths uphill and downhill. Very close to Almyra beach; we went every day. A perfect place to rest, relax and connect with nature!"

"We were 4 adults staying in Kalamata for a few days. Casa Mondello was spacious. It was elegantly furnished. The kitchen was completely stocked. 3 large comfortable bedrooms. We loved the rooftop deck. Very convenient to stores and coffee shops. We would highly recommend."

"It started badly. It took 4 attempts to get check in details via 3 different people. Then, when we arrived at the admittedly charming location, things unravelled further. the very first thing that hit us was a fusty smell of neglect as we opened the door. We do not think the description or the website is accurate. Far from being - as promised - a charming holiday cottage with a warm and cosy atmosphere - it is a rundown, cramped, shabby bungalow in desperate need of maintenance. The woodwork...

"The house is in a fantastic position Just down a flight of stairs from the kitchen to very clear and warm water we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this house for a very relaxing stay. Just one point if your hiring a car, parking can be a bit of a hit or miss at the property."

"A beautiful hotel right on the esplanade where there are plenty of restaurants cafes ect. Rooms are very spacious. Housekeeping was good and the staff at reception and at the eating section where wonderful. Morning breakfast which was ala carte was amazing and plenty to have. The city centre is a comfortable 20min walk or you can catch a cab. There are plenty of stores and eateries there. We had a great time here and highly recommend this hotel."
