"Decking needed pressure washing and more adaptile railings. Liked keypad entry. Stairs up to apatment were a surprise, but a good work-out. There were mites in upholstery and beds. Cooling adequate. Could have used creamer for coffee area. There was leftover water in kerig coffee maker . Could have used extra dish towels. Conflicting info on pets-were they allowed? Instucted to put towels in non exiting laundry basket. Could have used extra coffee pods. No safety concerns as far as neighborhood....

"We had a great week here. The host is wonderful. The cottage is fabulous and comfortable, and the landscaping is beautiful. The pool was perfect for warm, sunny days. As other reviews say, it is close to the hospital district, but that wasn't a big deal for us. It's close to downtown for visits to Grubb's Grocery & the Farmer's Market. Others have mentioned the steep stairs to the upstairs area. They are steep; it's an historic home, and that is one of the many cool facets of this 1940's home....

"We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The only slightly visible neighbors were across the lake. If not for the notes below on the water, it would have been 5 stars. Unfortunately, the cold water came out of the tap muddy brown. There’s no way anyone cleaning the house didn’t notice that before we got there. I would bring drinking water and not plan on washing clothes. The kitchen was reasonably well stocked, but we wanted something like Corning ware to reheat things in the microwave. Pot holders...

"I fell in love with this place when I found the listing on VRBO. The host did an excellent job describing the property and the proximity to the traffic, which we did not find to be much of a bother, although it was present as noted. THAT BATHTUB!! Dreamy and equipped with complimentary bubble bath and epsom salts! Nice touch! Having the ability to do laundry was also great. Actually going home from a vacation without a huge trash bag full of dirty stuff. Anytime I asked the host about things...
