"You can tell this hotel is quite old and not well maintained. The carpet tiles were separating and had an odour, and the laminate flooring was lifting. There were many stains on the walls and even a few on the sheets, though we didn’t complain about them. On the positive side, the beds were relatively comfortable, and the location was convenient, close to many restaurants and the harbour, which was beautiful at night. "I recently stayed at Hyacinth Pension for a two-night trip to Tongyeong. While the view from the bay-facing rooms is lovely and there’s a charming coffee shop and gift store just down the hill, the condition of the property fell well below what was advertised. We rented a “Deluxe Duplex,” and sadly saw visible water damage, the bathroom was damp with long term mold and a rotting door. "The views from our large spacious room were amazing. The one downside were the lack of chairs on the large balcony. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, due to the high price per adult. There was a small CU convenience store on site, and a larger one at a neighbouring hotel a short walk away. A bus stop is roughly a five minute walk from the hotel, to travel in to Tongyeong.
