The room was super comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were all kind. During the day the environment was lively and loved hearing the piano player. So cozy during holidays. Would definitely stay again!

Everything about this place is absolutely wonderful. The staff is incredibly welcoming, and the environment truly feels like home. Even the guests passing by during tea service were so kind and pleasant. The food will take you to another universe — it is that good! I’ve dined at Michelin-starred restaurants, and their meals don’t even compare to what’s served here. The rooms look exactly like the pictures — even better in person — and everything was spotless. I highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful place to stay charming has all of the charm of a turn of the century home. The teahouse is adorable.. service was great breakfast was fabulous and everybody was friendly a wonderful place to go for dinner or high tea or stay and enjoy the ambience.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We Loved our stay at the Mathis House Victorian Bed & Breakfast and Tea Room luncheon. Beautifully decorated. Loved all the food selections. both Tea & breakfast. Rooms were lovely and very comfortable. Had a cute shop also. We loved the selections of teas & bought some for home. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a lovely stay at the Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in the Queen Alexa room and it was very large and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and the linens were beautiful. The bathroom has a gigantic tub and a wonderful multi head shower. The Inn itself is beautiful and has many original historic details.

It was an incredibly hot day but when I went into my room it was so cool and lovely Comfy bed and lovely shower Snacks put out just for me : wine cheese spread and crackers cookies strawberries and coffee In the morning breakfast was beyond perfection Homemade scones and clotted cream and the best creamy frittata I ever had I’m coming back even if I don’t have something to do in the shore area The owner and staff love what they do And it shows

Phenomenal Al staff and a great room!

Loved the Mathis House! Great little place to stay…. Comfortable room with tons of amenities…. And the staff go above and beyond to make your stay memorable! Breakfast was yummy and the teas are exceptional as well! I really highly recommend the Mathis House !!
