🏞️Bouzafria is very close to where I live, just about 4 kilometres from Vigo’s downtown, in Bembrive. The river Eifonso forms the cascade with a fall of almost 4 meters.

🏙️Vigo is located on the Northwest of Spain, in Galicia, it is one of largest and most important fishing ports🎣 in all Europe🇪🇺 and is known for its freezing and canning industry🏭.

🏘️The name Vigo comes from the Latin word Vicus Spacorum (Small Village). The city is built over a hill-fort (Castro) and a Roman settlement. During the Middle Ages the small village🏘️ of Vigo was a part of the neighbouring towns, mainly Tui. Finally on the 15th century, Vigo was considered a real village but in the 16th and 17th centuries, the city was attacked⚔️ several times. Around 1578 the town had a population of 868, but the plague🐀 and the pirates🏴‍☠️ destroyed the town and killed almost all the people. In 1585 and 1589 the town was attacked by the English admiral (a pirate or corsair) Sir Francis Drake🏴‍☠️, he temporary occupied it and he left many buildings burnt🔥. In 1702 a British-Dutch fleet under Sir George Rooke and James Butler, Duke of Ormonde, destroyed a Franco-Spanish fleet in the bay during the Battle of Rande🧭.

🕛In the 19th century, the French🇫🇷 troops conquered⚔️ Vigo, but the popular resistance ended with the reconquest of the city and the French Army was expelled🛡️ from Vigo on 28 March 1809. It was the first city of Galicia to be freed from the French🇫🇷 rule.

❓Did you know that the first stapler was produced for the French king Louis XV in the 18th century but it was actually made in the Basque Country? The royal stapler was hand-made and came with a set of staples bearing the royal emblem on them.

"Well appointed apartment, with balcony views over the river to Vigo, loads of space for a family, good facilities. Short walk to Cangas town, which though looked a little scruffy round the edges, we really liked - great atmosphere, loads going on and the ferry to Vigo is really easy to use."

"The villa more than lived up to expectations. Our family group of up to 10 people at one stage had plenty of space to relax, while the pool was a real hit with the children, as indeed was the table tennis table when the adults let them near it. The nearby beaches were superb and having a fun pizzeria within 5 minutes stroll was an added bonus. "

"Close to Vigo and some beaches, but in the tranquility of a small little village. Would absolutely stay again, great host! Easy going and accommodating in any way!"

"The area is very nice, a lot of beaches and locations close to the house in a beautiful scenery. Bueu is a small town with a lot of nice bars and restaurants. The house was not equipped according to the descriptions (no sun longers only chairs available - we got some delivered at the end of our stay), garden was not in proper condition, was prepared in the mid of week 2. Promised change of towels and sheets did not happen either."

"Fin lejlighed centralt med stue, køkken, badeværelse og 3 soveværelser midt i Ponte de Limas gamlebydel, tæt på indkøbsmuligheder og lige midt i byens mylder af restauranter. Lejligheden var pænt og smagfuldt indrettet. Kommunikationen med udlejeren Edgar var god og hurtig, og det fungerede rigtig godt med adgang til lejligheden via nøgle i nøgleboks. Vi har haft et godt ophold, og vil gerne anfald lejligheden til andre. Det eneste minus ved lejligheden er at den havde en ubehagelig lugt af...

"Excellent location. Great view from breakfast room however it would have been nice if it was used as a bar area in the evenings given the outstanding view. The cafe on the main floor was excellent and offered a great option for breakfast as well. The 6th floor rooms have pretty water views but the floor above is the buffet room so quite noisy early in the morning. Rooms are basic but have everything you need. Staff is outstanding. No gym on the property but they offer a pass to a nearby gym which is very good."
