"The hotel was a bit more basic than anticipated - the WiFi was absolutely dreadful, for example! The rooms rather were rather small. However, on the plus side the pool is absolutely wonderful, the staff made amazing efforts to keep guests safe from COVID-19, cleanliness and sanitising especially good, much appreciated in these times. Near two lovely beaches, but a bit of a distance to St Florent so hire a car, as it’s a bit of a hike! And you won’t want to miss the lovely port filled with yachts...

It took a bit of back and forth to resolve an issue around breakfast. Close to 800 Canadian was spent on a room for two nights. The thought was breakfast was included in the cost. "I went cheap since I only stayed in Bastia for a night…too cheap. The “room” is a closet with a bathroom. There is barely space to put the luggage down and open it. The shower was so small that I couldn’t spread my elbows while washing my hair. AND the room is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. There are not many noticeable restaurants close to the hotel, so guests need to rely more on the hotel restaurant, which serve passable food. I will definitely invest a bit more for a better hotel next...

"The desk clerks at the hotel were excellent particularly Alex who did whatever she could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We also enjoyed the food and the service in the dining room. We were very disappointed to find that there was no fridge in the room--the only hotel of the 11 on our trip. We could store things in their fridge but that is not the same.
