"Very accomodating host! Let us to check in late at night and took the time to show us all the amenities. Room was kitted out with everything we needed and the location is a beautiful and very peaceful lifestyle property. We were also given a wonderful tour of their chicken run and pigeon coop in the morning. Highly recommended!"

"Although the NZ weather was not welcoming, the Barefoot Cottage made up for it. It is ideal for a couple, clean, tidy and an excellent view of the ocean. An easy walk to the nearby cafe and beach (if only it was beach weather). We would definitely stay there again."

"Plum Tree Cottage will exceed any reasonable expectations.It is not large, but it is very well laid out, and was comfortable for the two of us and a small dog, with plenty of space and storage for our 7 day stay. This is more than an an average batch in the bush. The quality of the building, fit-out, facilities, maintenance, and attention to smallest details was impeccable, and the ever changing view across the manuka and wetlands to the Mangawhai estuary and hills beyond made the stay special. The special touches like the hotel quality linen and towels, infinity hot water and high-spec shower, the wide and plentiful selection of teas and coffee options and much more were much appreciated. The quality spa pool is like new, perfectly maintained and ready to use any time. Our hosts were very respectful of our privacy, helpful and friendly, and always available by phone for questions or recommendations.We highly recommend Plum Tree Cottage - whatever you might expect, you will be happily surprised."

"Great little place to stay and so close to the amazing beach!!!! We had a little unit with a bunny bed and double bed. Little microwave and a little “ island” tha theme dishes,kettle. Etc…. The brash was steps away. And behind the hotel/ park is a really really good restaurant so there was no need to walk or drive anywhere. Cute little place to stay right on the beach. Loved it. "
