"Very positive experience for a small town motel. The room was very clean (even under the bed). Staff was very accommodating giving extra coffee when asked. Could use some $ upgrades but I would definitely refer this motel. It was also super quiet!"

"for the location and expectations staying at a motel, they were amazing! the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, i got locked out of my room and they gave me another key to get in! great experience, definitely going to stay there again when i’m visiting up north!"
Cozy Cottage on Private Lake

"We had a wonderful three nights here. It's a classic rustic Ontario cottage filled with history. From the log wood interior to the antiques that adorn every area of the cottage it's as if you're living in an antique store. Every day we found new trinkets to look at.The property is very private and lots of space to roam about. We saw loons, a beaver, herons, ravens, a wolf down the road, and on our last day had a bald eagle show up to hunt a fish which was really cool to see.There was plenty of power with the solar. The host was great to communicate with. The little town of Cobalt is 5 minutes away and there's also a lot to see just walking down the road from the property.The bed was very comfortable. Lots of different seating areas inside and out around the property.If you want luxury this is not that, but that doesn't mean it's not worth a visit. This is a true Ontario cottage experience and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice getaway."

"My wife and I have stayed at Pointe Carniel Lodge for 3 years in a row and keep coming back because the hosts are wonderful, conscientious and so respectful of our privacy. They just make the stay so pleasant. The view/spot is fantastic, it’s perfect for lounging on the beach, swimming and fishing and has the right atmosphere of peace and quiet to enjoy a relaxed vacation with my wife. Everything is well maintained and clean and we’ve cooked ourselves some great meals with the simple and scaled down but well appointed little kitchen/bbq in Raspberry Close. Highly recommended."

"The rooms felt brand new and spotless, and the check in process was staggeringly simple. And you are literally 5 feet from the water.We could not have had a better experience, and we also did a cosplay photoshoot on the property which has easy access to visually striking lakeside views. Which was made even better by the hosts having a genuine interest as well.Thank you so much guys, we'll be back and we'll be recommending you!"
