The property is very clean and quiet except for the sound of the waves, which is why we love it. Excellent view! House is well stocked and very comfortable. I’ve been here before and will continue to come back. Thanks Tara!!!
Can’t say more about the location. So amazing. We saw sea lions on the rocks with the spotting scope. Top notch kitchen and all interior appointments. Upscale everything. After reading other reviews i knew to reach out for the door code before we left Tillamook so we had no issues with that. Would definitely recommend
We had a wonderful and relaxing December stay. Moderate temperatures and no crowds to contend with.
Views as advertised. Very comfortable home with a great kitchen.
Highly recommended.
This is our second stay here in this beautiful house. The house is immaculate and has everything you need for a peaceful and restful vacation. The view is so awesome that it’s hard to tear yourself away to explore the coast! We couldn’t ask for a better place to enjoy all that central coast Oregon has to offer. We will be back!
We have stayed three (four?) times at this wonderful rental. If anything, it keeps getting better. The home is even cleaner, if anything, and it was very clean on all our stays before. Well stocked with linens and towels. The kitchen is easy to work in and thoughtfully arranged. The view is unbeatable. We have stayed at various rentals in Oceanside over the last 30 years and this is one of only two we keep coming back to. Quiet, calm, you can see the stars on a clear night with no light interference. Highly recommended!
I would have to say this was the best house we’ve stayed with the best view since coming to the Oregon coast every year! Everything was perfect, clean and comfortable! We will be coming back next year! Thank you!
We have stayed at MANY VRBO properties. This is very likely the most comfortable, well appointed home we have visited. There are GOOD knives (wonderful!) Very thoughtfully appointed for a comfortable visit. You have done a great job with this place, Tara, thank you for sharing it with us!
We loved the location and the multiple viewing spots to sit and enjoy the Oregon coast. The place was well stocked and in good order. Owner was responsive for access and the home was clean and welcoming. On approach, do go to the end of the street as directed - the addresses are not in typical sequential order.
We enjoyed our stay at this cute home. The beach views were amazing! There was a bay window upstairs with cozy pillows that we spent a couple of hours on while watching the ocean and relaxing. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen had all that we needed. My husband spent some time looking at the stars and ocean through the telescope in the living room. It’s a very short drive to the beach which wasn’t too crowded and even had a cave to go through to get to another beach. The host was good to communicate with us and kind to work with. We would definitely stay again!
We loved the property! We thought it was a little closer to the ocean than the pictures showed. But the view is seriously beautiful! We didn’t realize there was no cell service in Oceanside so had to drive back to Tillamook to figure out our directions to the house.
This house was a little challenging to find, but once we found it, we did not want to leave.
The house is immaculate—I have extremely high standards for cleanliness. Tara had everything we needed; her house is cozy and comfortable.
The view is unmatched. We were able to see seals on the rocks through the telescope the last day we were there. You can hear the ocean—it is calming and beautiful. The sunsets were incredible.
Tara was so kind and accommodating. I appreciated her answering my questions immediately.
I would stay here again without hesitation.
This is our second stay at this lovely property in Oceanside. The property is well furnished with comfortable and pleasing furniture and includes a woodstove in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use. Very comfortable bed in the master bedroom where we stayed. Of course, the view is fantastic! One minor quibble is that the host stores food items in the cabinets, and there really was no place for us to put our groceries without removing those. The refrigerator also had condiments in it, and could have used a more thorough cleaning. However, we would definitely stay here again and have enjoyed both our stays immensely.
I have been coming to Oceanside for years and rain or shine it’s a favorite place for me. Tara’s house is beautiful and comfortable with awesome views. The kitchen was well stocked as were linens. We loved the wood stove. Brought and bought wood. It was so efficient we never turned on any of the heaters. The neighborhood is very quiet and I loved getting up in the morning and walking the hills. We will most certainly go back. I highly recommend this home. You will not be disappointed. Thank you again Tara letting us share your beautiful home.

This home felt like we were on top of the world- being on top of the mountain but at the beach at the same time. It was peaceful, restful and secluded, 2nd to last home at the end of the road. Hostess was responsive to our questions and needs. Home was amply supplied with linens, blankets, pillows and kitchen appliances and utensils. The view out the large picture windows was stellar and unsurpassed- mega iconic Oregon Coast rocks, Oceanside Beach and Pacific Ocean. It was a short drive to Cape Lookout State Park. The flat, sandy beach there was perfect for our game of croquet. The wind over at Tunnel Beach was perfect for flying our durable and well-designed kite, that we had bought at Kimmel True Value Hardware Store in Tillamook. We highly recommend this home and its location for refreshing your spirit.
Advice: if you come to the beach in the summer, definitely bring your sunbrella and/or sunscreen.
The old real estate adage could be used here: View, view, view. This is a fantastic location with an unparalleled view of the Oregon Coast. The photos give an idea, but seeing it in person is even better. The home is comfortable and well-appointed, with two functional and attractive sitting areas. The beds are comfortable, It's secluded, near the end of its road; there are only two properties beyond it, and we never saw anyone at either while we were there. The owner is a pleasure to work with and is very responsive. She clearly cares about her property and her guests.
Oceanside is a little out of the way, and there are limited (though very good) eating options close by, and Tillamook is a short drive away. Oceanside Beach is a jewel and is easily accessible. And it's a good base for short drives up and down the coast.
We've stayed at several rental properties as a couple, and this is the only one we've ever returned to; it's that good. We would happily come back every year.
My husband and I were on the coast to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and found this home and location to be absolutely beautiful! However, we were asked by the host to leave 2 days early due to an emergency in her family. She offered to reimburse us for the inconvenience and we accepted.
Even though we couldn't find anything in Oceanside on such short notice given the holiday weekend, we were able to find accommodations in Newport. As of the date of this review, we still haven't received reimbursement from her and have been disappointed in the host's communication with us.
While the house and view were amazing, the overall experience with the host was disruptive.
Wonderful views, great cardio walks up/down cliffs to awesome beach combing through the tunnel.
Constructive critique...fresh wash on bed sheets and towels and good outdoor pounding of pillows on ocean window seat, more than (2) half rolls of toilet paper for a 10 day stay and ability to raise not just open all the blinds to take in that incredible view. We couldn't get the TV channel to change off Fox news, so ended up watching Netflix which was OK and the wi-fi worked well. Thanks for clean carpets, dish, hand and laundry soap, trash bags, use of binoculars for watching sea life on the arches, extra paper towels, martini shaker, ability to open the windows for ocean breeze. Upstairs shower/toilet has full height clear glass windows to exterior and no curtains so was glad no neighbors during our stay. Turns out there's a beautiful alder wood tree right next to master which I was incredibly allergic to (similar to cat allergies) so had to keep the master slider closed. Tide charts would be a great addition! Overall good property and had a great time.
This is a very comfortable home. It is quiet and private and an easy space to be in. The views are spectacular! We were able to see whales from the deck. We loved our time there.
