"Great place to stay! We would 100% stay here again if we come back this way. We were in the lodge part. The rooms were clean and appeared to be recently updated. I never once heard our neighbors while we were in our rooms. There were fire pits and grills to use. The only downside of the lodge is that it’s up the hill from the main building. Not a huge deal though! Do yourself a favor and book this place!! "

"Great price, clean updated hotel. It has the feel of an old school resort with updated rooms and great hospitality. When we had to leave early because of illness the front desk clerk was so sweet concerned about how we were doing. Highly recommend. "

"The 1880 train was within walking distance from the hotel. The Hill City area was close to most of the attractions around Mt. Rushmore. The breakfast buffet could have been a little better. The eggs were terrible. The pancake machine was broken. The coffee was OK."
