"We stayed at Hotel Liberté as a family of three during our trip to Rome. Overall, we had a nice stay and really liked the neighborhood. It has a young, hip and artsy feel, with lots of little bars, restaurants and about 15-20 mins walk on side street from Termini Station. If you enjoy that kind of atmosphere, you’ll probably really like the area.
One thing to keep in mind is that it gets very lively and loud at night, especially on weekends. There was quite a bit of street noise and people out at the bars until around 2–3am, so it may not be the best choice if you’re a light sleeper or travelling with young kids. We were travelling with our 8-year-old, so this was something we definitely noticed.
We also experienced a strong cigarette smoke smell coming into our room, which seemed to be coming through the ventilation. This was uncomfortable for us, especially travelling with our daughter. We brought it to the hotel's attention and they were responsive and offered cleaning, fresh linens and compensation for the inconvenience, which we appreciated.
Overall, the location and neighborhood were definitely highlights for us. I would recommend it to people who enjoy a younger, artsy area with nightlife and don't mind some noise at night."
