"Amazing place. The hotel is brand new, not even one year old. They only have seven rooms, what gives you an exclusive private service. The hotel has an amazing view of the ocean, out of this world. The room that I stayed was huge, very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendy and helpful . Beautiful and peaceful place, i highy recommend this hotel .... perfect for couples. I would come back, definitely."

"Nobody in the hotel speaks anything but portuguese. And nobody s making an effort either. If you have any request get ready to be lost in translation: i tried english, italian, spanish, and some portuguese but the receptionist manager and owner are both unwilling and unpleasant. When complaining about noise i was told my room was a standard room and so i should not expect to be put in a more quiet room... as if “standard” had to do with eing noisy! "My review is for people choosing among "pousadas" (inns), as opposed to a hotel (which includes more services like phone in the room, room service etc). As a pousada, Catavento is basically perfect: - a great value; we paid, per person, what we would pay in the US for the breakfast alone - beautiful place, both in and out of the rooms. - staff is friendly, helpful and very attentive. They made breakfast 1:30 h earlier than usual on the day we were leaving. - room was huge and new....
