"Overall, it was a nice stay at the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. I was there with my family. The hotel's proximity to the Taikoo mall was very convenient. What I found a bit sub par for a world renowned 5 star is the communication. There was some email exchanges with request for a restaurant booking but in the end, the booking was not done correctly. I recently had a similar request at the Rosewood Bangkok and everything was much more professional. The design of the day sheer curtain was also abit odd, leaving it looking very shabby for a lux hotel. Light switches was also quite frustrating to use. The pool is mediocre. Other than that, it's fine."

"If it is your first time in Guangzhou I would highly recommend this hotel to you. They helped us recovered my bag when I left it on a DIDI ride while on the way to the hotel. While we could not check in early, they provided us with hot drinks while we wait for our room. Each time we were in distress, the staff impressed us with excellent service and advise. The staff we met here are all well trained and I am specifically impressed with them. The room is clean, spacious, well equipped. Water pressure, optimal. Super for a tired day of shopping. The breakfast was sumptuous. Different types of eggs (even tea egg), automated coffee machine, fresh fruits, many types of cheeses, yogurts, fresh juice choices and also on demand, takeaway coffee on demand, all the stuff that we enjoy. They are equipped with robots that deliver your ice/ water to your room. This hotel is a 11/10 experience in our opinion. Will be back if we visit Guangzhou again."

"This property is located in the heart of the city of Guangzhou with plenty of restaurants around . Metro and bus stop only few steps away from the property where you can travel everywhere in the city or to the Baiyun international national airport. The hotel staffs are super friendly and helpful . Breakfast is okay and the bonus is the laundry room , it open 24 hours a day ."

"This is probably one of the best Rosewoods I have ever stayed in. Everything about our stay was perfect. It was my birthday and they made me feel very special. I have stayed at other 5* hotels in Guangzhou but from now on this is the only place to stay. Pool beautiful and not crowded. Both bars very busy and great atmosphere. Really couldn’t fault it. Room was sensational too!!"

"Beautiful hotel in the heart of the new city district. Convenient walk to the Canton tower and various tourist spots. Well maintained hotel. The only downside was the heavy smoking smell in the hotel bar. Not sure why smoking indoor is allowed"
