"This was lovely in many ways. My room was spotless and spacious, Breakfast was hot and plentiful with a reasonable choice. The new season has maybe not kicked in as some of the outside areas could do with a little tidy up. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. This is not the fault of the hotel, but it is worth noting that there are few public transport links to the local towns and seemingly none before 9.30 am or after about 7 pm.,"

"We visited the Chilworth Manor Hotel for our mini moon after we got married. The receptionist was very rude and abrupt when we arrived to pay before our wedding (before we got married) and made us feel unwelcome from the get go. "Room was huge - we had the disabled access one. The bathroom is the biggest I’d seen. A few stains on the carpet but they been scrubbed as best they could. Would have liked some bedside lights, ended up using the TV on a scrambled signal to give a little light. Staff were friendly and really helpful. To the point of intervening with parking because it’s free at the weekend. Top tip - if you’re heading to Winchester, get the bus. Bus stop a short walk away, the route I direct, every 10mins....

"Did not have breakfast, but evening meal was good. Room was okay but for the three nights we stayed we didn’t get bed made or tea/coffee replenished or the small bin emptied. As for the noise from people using rooms above us it was a nightmare (do not choose room 3) Was not impressed "

The Kings Head is well situated for exploring Hampshire via public transport and/or car and seems to be a bit of a hub for local residents. The room along with the rest of the hotel is decorated to a good level to make our weekend stay comfortable."

"The breakfast was very good for buffet with cooked options. It’s well located for Winchester but not a hotel with charming views and paying for parking on top of room charges needs looking at. Why not make it inclusive ? A fridge in the room and capsule coffee maker would be more useful than a safe. "
