"Let’s face it, the lifespan of hotels isn’t infinite. Days Inn was a solid, if a bit less expensive place back in its day. Despite being a Wyndham property, you can’t get away from the fact that the brand itself doesn’t command the respect it once did. That said, while this property sure isn’t perfect, it isn’t terrible, either. First off, it is super convenient if you’re traveling I-70. It takes just seconds off the highway to get to the hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. And even though I didn’t need anything when I arrived other than a bed, there are plenty of food options. The room was outdated as you might expect. The lighting is dim. The carpeting is old. It looks like a 90’s hotel room out of its prime. But…it was respectably clean. My wife would not have stayed there, but for me, it was fine. The shower was good, with decent pressure and as much heat as a human can ever ask for. Possibly the hottest shower I’ve ever experienced! (Not that I used all its capabilities!) The bed was the perfect firmness for me. If you like a very firm mattress, you’ll be disappointed. For me this was great. It was super comfortable. The pillows were likewise nice and soft. I never turned on the TV, so can’t speak to that, but they did have a nice plug-in USB charger in the room, which is great. Overall, if you’re looking for a decent, convenient and affordable place to hang your hat for the night, look no further. It’ll treat you fine."

"Great stay. We went for an overnight stay while visiting the college. All we needed was a clean room, fresh towels and overall safe/clean environment. Exactly what we were looking for. The free breakfast in the AM was a great start, too. And true story: we checked out, didn’t know we forgot an item. They called us within 45 minutes and told us they have it and are holding it. THAT Is customer service. We will be back."

Drooly Bear Cabin: Your Raystown Lake Getaway!

"We really enjoyed our stay at Drooly Bear Cabin. The cabin was very comfortable and fit our needs well as we were in the area for a family reunion. The grandkids enjoyed the cabin stay and playing outside. We actually had a very large black bear visit the first night. Matt was a great host to work with through the process. Thanks again!"
