"Title: Excessive Tourist Tax and Lack of Transparency During our stay at Kafieris Blue, we were charged a tourist tax of €10 per night, totaling €20 for our two-night stay. However, according to the information provided on Hotels.com, the applicable tourist tax for this property should be €2 per night, or just €4 for our entire stay. We therefore have serious concerns that we may have been overcharged. We believe the property management should clarify this discrepancy by providing the property's official classification and confirming the legally applicable tourist tax rate. If the amount charged was incorrect, we believe a refund of €16 would be appropriate. This situation raises concerns about billing transparency and has unfortunately left us with a negative impression of our experience at Kafieris Blue."

"Homeric poems is a small hotel in a beautiful setting. Having spent several days travelling around Santorini, the location in Firostefani - really quiet, particularly at night, yet only 10-15 minutes walk to the busy centre of Fira, was ideal. The views are spectacular. Do be prepared for steps - in common with most of the properties, the hotel is built into the cliff and you will spend a lot of time walking up and down steep stone steps. By far the most important point though is the staff, who are all incredibly friendly, kind and thoughtful. During our stay Christos and Olga seemed ever-present, recommending and booking tours, transfers and restaurants. I would highly recommend using them to arrange transfers etc. - we arrived from the airport in their arranged car to be met by a very friendly Christos and his colleague who carried all our luggage (it is a short walk from the nearest parking/road to the hotel along a footpath). Santorini is a beautiful island and we found everyone we met to be friendly and welcoming, but the staff at Homeric Poems were exceptional."

"Very pleased with this property. Easy walking distance to local bus station, open air market, and the shop-lined pathways following the caldera. I was treated to a warm welcome with complimentary bag storage and coffee/tea upon arrival and departure. Room was recently renovated with specular results. Very nice interior finishes with a spacious bathroom. The superior room also included a generously sized glass-enclosed deck with partial ocean view. It was amazingly quiet given its central location. Highly recommended for travelers seeking an exceptional value in Santorini."
