"Loved the location and the property, which dates to 1830. So the hotel has seen a lot of history, including serving as the headquarters and the hospital and recovery area for the U.S. 2nd Division (combined Marine and Army brigades) after the Battle of Soissons. The traditional French village is at the base of a hill on which rises a magnificent castle. The lake is beautiful. If you don’t speak French, no problem, the front desk manager speaks perfect English. The rooms are on the older side but the bed was extremely comfortable and we could open the big windows and get a wonderful breeze off the lake. The breakfasts were excellent and parking was easy. Quite a pleasant stay. "

"The rooms were clean and spacious; The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. What really makes this hotel stand out however is the extraordinarily kind and professional staff. And their breakfast was one of my two favorite breakfasts during my two week journey in Europe. Generous, with high quality ingredients. Fresh squeezed juices, delicious cheeses etc.etc. I could elaborate more, but the foods were presented and procured with a sense of excellence and care for the guest. Lovely staff. Loved this stay.
