"Excellent stay. "

"Really pleasant stay at the Old Stone Trough, a hotel which is handily situated on the A59 Colne Road, and which overlooks open country at the rear. The staff were unfailingly pleasant and obliging, and the dining room is clean and well kept. The food is of excellent quality, and the buffet breakfasts leave you fit to burst if you overindulge, as we did on a couple of mornings during our stay. Our room was pleasant and of generous proportions, the bed was firm but as other reviewers have said, the accommodation is tired and in need of refurbishment. It was also a disappointment to find that the water pressure was poor and the shower barely adequate. During our stay there was a spell of unseasonably cold weather, and the lack of heating left our windows streaming with condensation in the morning. Having said all the above, the positives far outweigh any negatives, and we would definitely stay at the Old Stone Trough again in the future. There are plenty of interesting places to visit within easy reach, and we've yet to do some of them. Most importantly of all, the room tariff for four nights' bed and breakfast was very reasonable indeed. So to the Old Stone Trough its "till we meet again" and not "goodbye". "

"We loved this place so have booked another night. Very high up with lovely views and everything you need is in this room. The self entry is so easy with a code they send to you to get your keys . The decor is nice and the room was very clean. A little bit out of the way but well worth it."

"On arrival at check we arrived 90minutes early, but the staff permitted us to book in immediately. All the staff were friendly and polite at all times and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was full of variety, either continental or full cooked. In addition, as reported by previous visitors, park on Level 4 and cost is only £1.50 for 24 hours."

"A great little hotel in a fabulous location for a visit to Saltaire village. On arrival parking was easy at the rear of the hotel, and the check in was straight forward. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was on the top floor, but access was easy up some flights of stairs. The room was very clean and nicely decorated, and the bathroom was good too. The room faced the main road but there was no noise. Breakfast was served downstairs in the hotel lounge, this was busy when we arrived, but a table soon became available. The breakfast was very tasty and cooked to order, there was also self serve fruit, cereal, and drinks. Overall I'd recommend this hotel to anyone."
