"The staff were warm and welcoming throughout my stay, which made a great first impression. The room itself was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and I especially appreciated being able to open the windows for fresh air — something that’s surprisingly rare in many hotels these days. I also enjoyed the character of the building, which used to be an old bakery; the historic atmosphere added a lot of charm to the experience. Having access to a laundry room was another very handy bonus.
Breakfast overall was very good, with plenty of choice and good-quality food. It was a pity that, due to a strike, the hotel wasn’t able to provide the complimentary afternoon waffles during my stay. The hot breakfast options were also fairly limited, although everything available was fresh and enjoyable.
The main downside was the noise. On weekend nights there was a lot of late-night noise from nearby bars and drunk people outside until around midnight, and throughout the week there were very loud seagulls overnight. Of course, this isn’t really something the hotel can control, but it’s worth noting that light sleepers or anyone sensitive to noise may want to keep it in mind before booking.
Overall, though, I had a pleasant stay and appreciated the hotel’s comfort, character, and friendly atmosphere."
