Not too many shops were open but there are brewpubs and taprooms on every corner. It was a challenge to find late night dining after a show at the Granada Theatre but we found a pub a couple doors down with a kitchen open til 11:30.

The Dalles is a quieter town, which we love. There is plenty to do (i.e, bike/walking path, shopping, beer/wine) and nice places to eat. This is our go-to gorge area stop.

The Dalles is a great hub to explore the Gorge area. Which is beautiful. Try the Drive from Lyle to Goldendale along the Klickitat River. Whew!

Nice town. Many historical sites to visit. Only bad thing is street layouts are very confusing.

Cute town, not sure if I would book another hotel stay here in this town.
"We have stayed here multiple times to visit family in the area. The rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant on site is very good and we got a discount for food with our hotel stay. Will stay here again!"
"This hotel is a bit outdated but its architecture and landscape are still quite beautiful and comfortable to walk around the campus. The swimming pool, jaquzzies, sauna and gym are not big but clean and nice to enjoy. Conveniently restaurant and lounge are nicely located in the campus and the quality is great even though it's a bit pricey, so you can stay in and enjoy all the services."
"Was having a girls weekend so perfect room size for 2 people per room. Bathroom was easy to share. Nicely renovated and very clean. Beds were comfortable."
