"We loved this place - the front office staff, the check-in, the yummy coffee by the front desk a plus, and the killer view from our balcony. The location is great too because it's easy to get to, convenient to the cute town of Hood River, but also secluded and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful - so many flowers and the landscaping is just amazing. I would stay here again & again! "

"An old time hotel with quirky charm.Located right on the main shopping street in downtown Hood River with several nice restaurants within walking distance. A fun surprise in our room was a phonograph with several old classic rock vinyl albums. Staff were very friendly and we were allowed an early check-in. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Smaller room, but clean and cozy. On main road, but very quiet. We walked down to LILO BBQ, great food and inexpensive. Walmart within walking distance too."

"Columbia Gorge Hotel is a true gem, and we are always thrilled to stay there. The classic touches like a real person to operate the elevator and bring the ice bucket to our room are delightful in this day. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The room was comfortable and the bed was great. People were all very friendly and helpful, and we love the Valentino posters and all the lovely classic art deco and art on the walls. The formal dining room is delightful, although was not in use when we were there. The dining area with view of the river is always a treat, and the breakfast was delicious. The fireplace room with free coffee is also a wonderful bit of old charm with modern amenities. Thanks for keeping this jewel of the Columbia operating in such style!"
