"A great choice in Vang Vieng. The shipping container rooms are novel, comfortable, clean and cool. (I think Mr Kong is a bit of a genius.) Good AC, comfortable beds, nice showers, OK breakfast (but you'll need to grab a decent coffee nearby at Kiwi, or a 10 minute walk to wonderful Naked). The location is great. Across the river from the noisier main drag but there's a walking bridge next to the hotel. It's quiet at night. There are 3 very good restaurants nearby- the pizza place, Kiwi...

"The Central Hotel is located on the Main Street of Vang Vieng but there’s no noise heard in the rooms. The rooms are very spacious (I had room 302) and the bed is comfortable. The only draw backs were the AC wasn’t great and there doesn’t seem to be a daily (or weekly) room clean. Besides this it was a comfortable enough stay and the staff were very helpful. There is lots of activities and plenty of restaurants on the street and Gary’s Irish Bar is 100m away ! There is a nice breakfast selection...

"Probably the most beautiful hotel in the area. Great view of the mountains and the hotel's own rice field. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bungalows are large and have comfortable beds. Unfortunately, the staff have almost no knowledge of English, which resulted in some incorrect orders. We would definitely book this hotel again. "Hostel staff were kind enough to give me welcome drink when checking in. I could rent a bicycle for 100K/24h, so I could go to Blue Lagoon 1 and Tham Chang Cave on my own. Morning Market is held near this hostel. Breakfast was good."
