Guest will have full and private access to this home and the surrounding area. There is another matching home on property 100 yards away available for bookings to accomodate larger groups. Other than this there are no other neighbors in view
This is a self check in process. We respect your privacy while you are here as a guest. You may see staff on property for maintenance calls and cleaning of the other property. If you need anything reach out to us via the number in your welcome message. In case of emergency, dial 911.
This home is located on private land with one other sister home on property. The homes are spaced far enough away from each to provide privacy. These homes can be rented together at the same time for larger groups. Search Ocotillo Willow Mountain Vista on Terlingua Airbnb to see the other home.
Other than the sister property there are no other homes in sight.
You and everyone in your party MUST conserve water. *NO BATHS*
This house is off the grid and every drop of water is precious. Please make sure everyone is doing their best to conserve as much as possible.
Limit showers to under 5 minutes. Do not let the water run while you brush your teeth. Bring some drinking water along with you, bring paper plates and cups to cut down on dish water. Fill the dishwasher full before running it, handwashing dishes is less efficient then doing a full load of dishes in the dishwasher. If its yellow let mellow...etc. Laundry machines are mainly there for housekeeping. If possible please limit personal use of the laundry.
Please take a moment to ensure your guest count is accurate at the time of booking.
Please stay in the vicinity of the house and do not hike or try to climb down any of the bluffs. Respect private property and neighbors.
Plan on providing your own firewood. Do NOT collect firewood or kindling from the property.
Quiet hours begin at 10pm.
Please be mindful of our dark sky ordinance and use as little light as needed after dark.
Please do not collect any of the rocks or plants from the property.
The house is on a septic system, please be mindful of what is flushed.

Strict PET POLICY:
Pets are welcome but they must be included on your reservation at the time of booking. If you are booking for two people and one pet, please ensure that the pet is shown when you reach the confirm and pay screen. We ask that you and your pet adhere to the following rules.
Dogs are not allowed on the bedding or furniture. Pets are not to be left unattended in the room unless crated. You will be billed for any damages caused by pets in your reservation.
NO UNAPPROVED PETS and NO CATS, $1000 fine for unapproved pets in the house.
Pet owners need to be mindful of wildlife - Coyotes are abundant.
NO CONFETTI ALLOWED. There will be a $100 charge for us to clean up confetti.
No extra guests are allowed on property beyond the total number of guests that are booked on the reservation without prior permission. Anyone who will be on the property must be added to the guest count and included in the reservation.
We do have an option to add an extra guest fee for guests counts past 8, this covers water usage, trash, laundry, wear and tear as well as housekeeping. You would need to provide the air mattress etc.

Please be advised that use of any outdoor cooking equipment in or near any building structures (to include balconies, awnings, porches, etc.) is strictly prohibited as it presents a fire hazard. Any use of outdoor cooking equipment must take place on flat ground and a minimum of 20 ft away from any building structures on the property. Upon completion of cooking on any outdoor cooking equipment, guests must immediately and thoroughly extinguish the heat source.
Guests must use caution while walking on the property, especially at night when it can be very dark. Guests need to be alert while outside to avoid tripping on rocks, or contacting local vegetation (cacti, etc.) and animals (snakes, etc.). Guests and their children are strictly prohibited from entering within 15 feet of the edge of any cliff, arroyo, crevasse, overhang or similar elevated drop off. Guests assume responsibility/risk for exploring the property.
