Breakfast was disappointing Bacon and eggs undercooked, Please use hot plates as this keeps food warm for longer It was a busy time of year, but mopping and sweeping whilst serving breakfast is not that great We should have discussed our concerns at the time

Nice location and room - awful staff.

We stayed in a very nice, spacious, recently renovated room. Unfortunately the staff were rude and incompetent. After checking-in we had a drink in the almost empty bar. Every time someone else arrived we were told our table was booked and we were asked to move to another table. We left and had dinner elsewhere. We were almost alone in the restaurant for breakfast and somehow they managed to misplace our order. After a thirty minute wait we sent out a search party for our food.

Rolls and Jenkins does the Billy can

We booked the Penthouse, we were wowed by a stunning chandelier over a modern table, comfy corner unit sofa, modern kitchen, two comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms one with a bath, one with a shower. Breakfast was included and was lovely, we also had evening meals and they were lovely as well. The staff are very friendly and we would definitely come back.

The room was the most comfortable one we experienced on our road trip. We were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the bathroom. The whole place was very clean and you could not hear anything from the bar below. Not to mention, the staff was also incredibly nice. Beautiful decorations and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Great Apartment in a Beautiful Location

We stayed here in April 2019 and extended by another night as we really enjoyed our stay. Such lovely people, beautiful location and the apartment was great. Lots of space and really comfy beds and the food was great in the restaurant too.

Good and not so good

Great friendly and helpful staff. Modern décor in the bar and bedroom. However, the standard of cleaning could be better. Quite a few grimy, sticky marks by door handles and a shaver point that still had foam/soap splashes on it from the previous occupiers. The bedroom mirror hadn't been polished for a while. However, the bedding was clean and the bed was comfy. The room was spacious and the heating worked well. The bathroom power shower was brilliant but the shower had a constant drip- the owners had placed a small towel in the shower tray to absorb the drips and lessen the noise but this was soaking wet by the time we arrived and we had to look for somewhere to put it when we used the shower. Food was hot and although edible, everything I chose had been overcooked. Despite the negative points, I would stay here again and also give the chef a second chance. The place is well located and the atmosphere in the bar is good.

Great location and lovely room

Really spacious and modern room in a great location! Very clean and decorated lovely. The street my room looked out on was very loud at night because of the kebab shop and chip shop but this is expected in such a central location.

Billycan is a hidden gem!

Really friendly staff, in a great location just a 2 minute walk to the seafront. Lovely restaurant and bar area and the room itself was fabulous. Comfy bed and really spacious room. Highly recommend !
