However there was a definite smokey smell in the home. My spouse quit smoking years ago and the smell really bothered him especially since we rented a non-smoking property."

"This is a nicely remodeled, fully furnished, clean home. All the basic necessities were provided for cooking and serving meals as well as bathroom, bedding, and laundry needs. The bed and furniture were comfortable. There is a large deck off the kitchen with a view of a nature preserve. The nature preserve has walking paths through the woods that my dog seemed to enjoy. I am used to supplying our own paper goods after the initial single roll of tp and paper towels at VRBO rentals. The owner supplied plenty of everything to make our stay perfect. "The house was clean, well maintained, and tucked away in a quiet spot. You can walk to grab lunch and dinner from town, and to sightsee along the water. "We booked this over a year ago before our wedding and the host was very quick at responding and answering our questions. The groomsmen and their dates and my family loved it! This is a great location for it all, one thing to be aware, we had it in June and it was perfect weather to have windows open. There is no AC but only AC units in some rooms if needed. "Can’t say enough great things about this lovely home! So clean, fresh and bright! The downstairs bedroom and bathroom was perfect for my older dad. The location couldn’t have been better. We easily walked all around town and the town is so great! Very quiet and so many places to eat and shop! Will most definitely be back and may even stay in the Barn!!"

"Highly recommended! The property is conveniently located within a short drive of Downtown Boothbay Harbor. The view from the house was spectacular and the accommodations extremely comfortable. The breakfasts were truly memorable, and coffee and fresh baked cookies served as a delightful afternoon treat.
