"Every member of staff we met was very welcoming and friendly. Some nice touches for dogs staying overnight. Food was very good and great value. Comfortable room/beds and quiet despite being just off the M6. Bathroom a bit small but perhaps the consequence of being a family room and more space given over to beds. Will definitely stay again. "The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was very good and worth staying in for. The hotel garden backs onto a beautiful park and is a three minute walk to cafes and shops (some of these appear to be shut on Tuesdays, but there were enough open to make a trip worthwhile). If you have accessibility issues make sure you request a downstairs room as there are no lifts. There is so much to do in the area; a long weekend is very quickly filled with museums, walks, shopping, cafes, an old abbey (two miles away) and slightly further (six miles), golf. "
