"This is a fantastic property on an awesome piece of real estate. not quite snow on the beach but it was raining hard and very very windy when we arrived. We knew it was winter in New Zealand and that we had a beach property so not unexpected. Great location to go see everything from the mud pools/geysers in Rotorua, Hobbiton movie set close to Katikati and even Mount Maunganui (awesome views). Lynette the host was awesome and made us feel welcome. Hard to find in the dark, especially in the rain so I recommend arriving in the daylight hours !!!"

"We got an upstairs apartment with good privacy, deck off living room. Really liked the bed, medium. (not too hard, like some we have had, like sleeping on a plank). Short walk to the beach which we really liked. Was also great being able to bring our small pooch. We would highly recommend."

"This Motel was easily one of the best hotels we have stayed in. I am only sorry we didn't have the time to stay here longer. Quality fittings, new, great layout with separate bedroom and a sitting area outside at the rear of the unit. Spa bath (fantastic after a 12 day road trip). 5 mins to CBD. A plethora of TV stations to watch. A lounge chair, sofa, dining table and desk still leave plenty of room. I could live here permanently."

"The tiny home has everything you need to explore the Rotorua area. The kitchen has a sink and full cooking capabilities. The bathroom has a toilet, mini little sink, and shower head. The bathroom does get rather wet when you shower but it’s built for that. There is a very secure ladder to the main sleeping area and a pull out ladder for another miniature sitting area that’s more for little ones then adults. It is tiny but very cozy. The view from the tiny house is stunning and looks onto the lake (we saw so many swans!). We visited in the winter and it was great for exploring the area but it would be amazing for a summer trip! Pam and Neville were very sweet and welcoming. Pam even brought us soup on our first chilly day. "
