About Sololaki was picture perfect: the property was both modern and charming, the staff friend and helpful, and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. An efficient facility, a very do-able walk from Liberty Square. Nice view of Tbilisi, too. Yummy breakfast.
It isn’t fancy place but it is reasonable and location is very good, I recommend this for anyone is looking something close to everything and everywhere.
After staying in hundreds of hotels over the years, I know that perfection is rare. Usually, if one aspect is outstanding, something else disappoints. That was not the case at About Sololaki.
The staff were exceptional!
They anticipated my needs before I had even finished asking. That level of attentiveness is something I have experienced only a handful of times.
The hotel has an incredibly clean, modern design, which is important.
The breakfast was delicious, and the location is excellent—quiet enough to relax, yet just a short walk from the city center. Considering today's prices, the value for money is remarkable.
This hotel changed my understanding of what true hospitality means. It is not about luxury alone, but about genuine quality. The hotel is relatively small, which allows the team to give every guest personal attention.
Thank you for making my stay such a memorable one.
A lovely, well presented boutique hotel that looks relatively new, with attractive décor and a comfortable atmosphere. I stayed in a standard room with two twin beds pushed together. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room had air conditioning, a smart TV, a kettle with tea and coffee, daily bottled water, a good shower with good water pressure and space to hang clothes. Breakfast was adequate. There was a dental kit in the bathroom which was a very nice touch.
The staff were all friendly, helpful and welcoming.
The reason I have given 4 rather than 5 stars is that I expected a few more basic facilities for a four star hotel. There was no fridge or safe in the room. A fridge would be useful especially in hot weather, and I feel a safe is important for keeping passports and valuables secure.
The hotel is in the historic Sololaki area. It is atmospheric and authentic. It is located on a slight hill, so the walk up may be difficult for guests with mobility issues. It is also not particularly close to the centre. However, taxis are readily available and I mainly used Bolt. Fares were usually around 5–10 GEL (£2- £3), although during heavy traffic they could rise to around 24 GEL(approx £7). Tbilisi traffic can be very heavy, so journeys into the centre can sometimes take considerably longer than expected.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. It is a beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms and lovely staff, and I would stay here again
We absolutely enjoyed our stay here at About Sololaki. The staff is so pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent with so many options to choose from. Our room was clean with a beautiful view of the mountains.
About Sololaki is a lovely hotel with everything you need to make your stay in Tbilisi great. The rooms were cleaned daily, with all amenities needed available instantly. The staff could not do enough for you, they were the nicest staff at hotel I have ever encountered and I will be staying again when I return to Tbilisi in the future.
Excellent breakfast buffet. Lovely balcony with view. In room coffee and tea service. Great robes and slides for after shower. Receptionist were extremely helpful.

Far from Liberty square, very bad internet, no tissues in the room.
The staff is very good and helpful. Breakfast is terrible.
I booked it for my father, and he loved everything! The only issue is the location as it requires as there is a steep hill leading to/from the property if going downtown.
It was clean and nice, the staff was amazing. The only thing was weird that that they did not have a refrigerator in the rooms, however the staff would store your refrigerated items and bring it to you whenever requested. Beds are comfortable, crispy clean sheets and bathrobes. Nice and clean bathroom. You can walk down to Old Tbilisi and you can take a taxi back for about $2 if you don't want to hike up to the hotel.
The complimentary breakfast buffet was amazing. Selection of hot and cold meats, potato, cheeses, fruits, breads, juices, coffee and whatever you can imagine they had on the buffet table. Great hotel and great staff. Would definitely visit again. Highly recommended.
