Myself and my partner recently stayed in this apartment for 9 nights (26th May to 3rd June 2026) we booked it based on the excellent reviews online. Now it is a spacious one bed apartment, it is well equipped and it is based in a great location ... upon arrival it appeared to live up to the reviews - the living areas, kitchen & bathroom were well presented and clean.
The problem was the bed, after two nights when making the bed the next day we noticed that the mattress protector under the fitted sheet had a lot of ingrained stains on it giving it a grubby appearance, it also looked old, the mattress underneath proved to be just as bad if not worse with several stains noticible on it.
I contacted the owner as soon as I could when we got back - she thanked me for letting her know, told me she was in the area and would check it out the next day, and said she hoped it did not ruin our stay - to be very honest it did affect our stay badly, it was hard to shift the thought of sleeping on a dirty bed! I asked her to come back to me on it after she had checked it out - she did not - nor did she reply to a subsequent email sent a few days later - we did not sleep at all well after this discovery! we feel the very least we were due was an apology however none was offered nor was any recompense offered. The measure of a good business is how they deal with issues and this forms the basis of my review. We would never stay there again, nor could we in all reality recommend it to others.
