"Nice, basic apartment with everything you'll need for your stay. The highlight for us was the lovely garden area with spectacular views of the Calanche. There's also access to a very nice swimming pool area, although there were so many other things to do, we didn't get the chance to use it! You'll need a car for this apartment and it's about a 5 minute drive to Piana which is a beautiful little village with a tourist office, restaurants and also a good supermarket (open every day up to 8pm)....

"A peaceful, private cottage with a lovely countryside feel. Nice sitting area under the shade as well as full sun lounging area. The fig trees were alive with birds and butterflies eating the ripe fruits, on our visit mid-September. Everything we needed was provided, with good kitchen facilities and a comfortable lounge/reading area. "The renovated old house with a large terrace and a great view towards the sea and the lowlands is beautifully situated on a large plot. The living room is cozy. The kitchen is functionally furnished. The two bedrooms on the upper floor are very large and have a shared balcony. The bathroom is accessible as an annex via the staircase. "Fantastic property. The location and views need to be seen to be believed. The host is welcoming and helpful and everything needed for your stay is included. We had such a great time and did not want to leave. Amazing sandy beach with shallow water for kids swimming less than 5 minutes drive away and a couple of the local restaurants, including one within walking distance very good. Cannot recommend highly enough, and would definitely love to return."

The bad points about the instructions and the gite were as follows: The map showing the location was inaccurate and we would never have looked into this industrial estate to find the countryside gite that we thought we had booked. "Peaceful, with beautiful mountain views all around, and a variety of birds to observe. We found this a perfect place to base ourselves with easy access to the many spectacular walks nearby. The university town of Corte, ten minutes drive away, has a pleasant atmosphere, quite different to the holiday resorts on the coast. "Really clean, quiet, nice place. Super nice, helpfull staff! A bit far from the city center if you don't have a car. The kitchen in the room was really clean and everything seemed new. Special plus for the view from the balcony. Would definitely stay here again."
