"Everything was great except the batteries in the tv remote weren't any good. took two more remotes before one finally worked. Apparently the front desk isn't allowed to keep spare batteries"

"What a gem!! This hotel is more like a resort, but with the charm of an old, southern, colonial estate. It’s gorgeous! The rooms even have regular keys with a little brass key tag with your room number. The rooms were clean, have great a/c and tv, and a very comfortable bed. There’s no microwave or fridge which was fine, we don’t use them. The pool was huge and well kept, and overlooked the lake just like the pictures suggest. The staff was welcoming and super helpful. We walked into town and although we found it a bit overpriced, lots of shopping and dining available. We already have plans to stay again soon!"
