"We stayed here for the entire month of April 2024 and enjoyed the house. During the driest and hottest month in CR, the refreshing pool and reliable AC was appreciated. The home was comfortable and modern, and the outdoor area covered. The living area is all outside like many homes in Costa Rica. Paquera itself is a sleepy town but there is lots to do all around the Penninsula and we took full advantage of all the activities Rhonda recommended. Two things to know - the road kicks up a lot of dust (but there is home in front of this one that blocks it somewhat). And the third bedroom does not have AC just FYI. We did not need it so not an issue for us. There was some noisy building that started up next door but probably just a temporary thing. Owners very nice and responsive. Overall, a nice stay!"

"Nya is a beautiful property with wildlife all around. I was able to watch a family if howler monkeys from the hammock outside my room. They left me a yummy dessert daily in my room they put in while I was out. The free breakfast menu had a variety of options including vegetarian. Property is town so walkable and beach is right across flyer road from the property. Got the best massage there as well."

"This property was absolutely beautiful! Looked just as it did in all the pictures. We traveled from Florida a family of 5, two 10 year olds and one 7. Cori the property manager was so helpful with setting up all our activities, everyone showed up and picked us up to take us to our tours as promised. We enjoyed brunch at the resort next to the property every morning. Even woke up to monkeys in the back yard and the macaws flying around were so neat. Several of our friends have asked for the info of the property. We will definitely be back. Pura Vida!"

"Castillo Tambor was a shot in the dark for my wife and I. We had never been to Costa Rica before and weren't sure what to expect or not expect. We arrived late and were graciously welcomed by hotel staff. She was very helpful and welcoming, ensuring that we were happy with our room prior to leaving. This Hotel is True Castle as the name indicates. Our room was amazing and had an unbeatable view of the ocean. Surrounded by amazing animal and bird noises every morning the tastiest coffee we've had in a long time, equaled a true slice of paradise for us. The friendly staff assisted us with information about the surrounding area and was very informative. Castle grounds and city felt safe throughout our entire stay. We met with other guests who were from all over the world and made good new friends. The natural landscape of the pristinely-kept grounds were beautiful. Fruit trees, Avacado Trees, and Palms hug this property perfectly. We took hundreds of pictures of the Castle and its ground. Just Stunning. Every morning you'll see staff tending to the grounds. Even the owner of the Hotel was available and very accommodating to our every request or question. My wife and I will be booking this place again in June with our 3 children. There isn't a thing we needed that wasn't within a 20 minute driving distance. We truly recommend Castillo Tambor for couples or families looking for a relaxing vacation with all the amenities, activities, and beauty you could ask for."
