"It’s hard to say what the most important thing is for a hotel stay. Is it 1) the property and room, 2) the food or 3) the staff? Well, it doesn’t matter with this property cause you’re winning on all 3. Quiet location at the end of summer/beginning of autumn, room size was good, room was clean, bed was fairly comfortable, bedding was great (the best pillows of the 8 hotels I’ve stayed in Japan). "Minakamikan is a great place to Stay, Clean and bright interior.
Onsen was very nice, rooms have been keep in top shape, with new fresh tatami mats, clean walls, etc.
Buffett breakfast had a lot of choices, Japanese and some western items.

"I have truly enjoyed my time at this hotel because it also had personal Onsens and public Onsens on site. I really enjoyed my Ryukan traditional Japanese room with a large amount of great amenities and I want to come to this place every time I come to Japan though I must let you know if you’re staying in Tokyo it takes about almost 3 hours outside of Tokyo, which you can catch the trains to get to. This place is located in the mountains in Japan and it is very well worth it if you’re looking to relax and to be just Lord by the beautiful site that you will see and experience the custom of traditional Japanese people then you would definitely like to stay here because it was amazing."

Our package came with breakfast and dinner and every meal was gourmet level.
The private hot tub on the room balcony is a special touch and great for enjoying the sounds and view of the river below while soaking aching muscles after a day of snowboarding.
