"Our room was gorgeous! We had a balcony room that looked over the Mississippi so we could watch the ships going up and down the river. And then the best part was that the bathroom had a jacuzzi in it that was made for 2. What a treat for my husband and myself! The beds were very comfy. We slept great! The food at the restaurant was delicious as well! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again! **FYI** The hotel is smoke free but the casino is not so you may want to take that into consideration. The elevator and common areas did smell like smoke because of this."

"This is an historic, very old mansion. I loved the period pieces and the decor. The owners were very welcoming and the included breakfast was delicious. After the breakfast, one owner gave us a wonderful detailed, informative tour of the house. Again, this is an old mansion undergoing renovation, but if that interests you as it did my husband and me, it’s a great place to stay. "
