"I read some of the reviews that were one stars after booking my room. Some of them were pretty recent.
After the stay I will say that I really think the one star reviews are based on the room itself. I however did not eat the breakfast because I was too lazy to walk down and get it.
The staff was very nice and even my puppies enjoyed the stay. Zeus, Apollo and I will be back again
The pillows do need some help though, I get hotels wanting different styles but none of the pillows were very good"
"Nice property. Had a great time. Lake was nice as were the included amenities. Only used the 1 pool, but also very nice. Room was clean and as pictured (2-bedroom lakeview suite). Beds comfortable. Every staff member we encountered was phenomenal, from the front desk to the concierge (Gerie), to the lake staff, to the maintenance persons. We are from the far north (MA), so a bit unusual to ask someone how they are doing and receiving the response 'blessed' is not something we are used to but welcomed as the same time. The on-site food options were all good as well. Biggest concern coming in was based on older reviews that cited the presentation pressure. We had none of that. More recent reviews didn't mention it, so probably a change in approach. We were in the building right outside the Preview Office, and as a smoker i was there frequently. They appeared to have a good amount of traffic, but the staff there were also extremely friendly. "

"We were very impressed with this unit. It’s absolutely beautiful decor and the recliner got an extra 5 stars from my hubby. Bedrooms are perfectly separated on each end and the living space is also perfect for visiting and eating in, although with all the fine restaurants around, I didn’t do any cooking. But we did bring in leftovers and had everything we needed to warm things up later. A very nice deck on the back where I enjoyed my morning coffee. Just a heads up, let management know if someone in your party has trouble w stairs. I didn’t realize we would be getting a lower unit, but we made it work. Next year I’ll ask more questions. The four of us were so impressed with Scenic Mountain Log Cabin by Silver Dollar City & Rock Lake, that we are positive we will return. FYI: We visited September 1 and checked out on September 6th, 2025. This is now our home away from home. Thank you."
