"Quiet and older onsen by the river and train tracks in Gero onsen town. A shuttle service is providing certain hours, but we opted to walk to the resort from the train station. After a hot bath I recommend having a nice cold milk from the vending machines. Staff was friendly, room was clean, and it was fun to try the dinner/breakfast. Some instructions and info on how and what we were eating would have been nice but not knowing is a fun part of that experience! Thank you for having us!"

"Amazing onsen! I booked a room with a private open air onsen for end of March 2024 and was blown away at how nice my room and the entire hotel was. The facility was impeccable, food was good, staff was super nice and my room was so great. I was only there two nights and regret not staying longer. I will definitely come back to this onsen. "We didn't realize that it was a ryokan. It was nice to have that style of room with tatami mats, sliding shoji screens etc. It backs onto a river which was nice."

"I never leave reviews but this was truly unforgettable. We booked the private onsen room on the first floor. Simply incredible, the ultimate ryokan experience. The room, onsen, and views were beautiful. On top of that, the staff were outstanding. The dinner and breakfast in the private dining room were delicious. We were served a spread of local food that was unlike anything we have ever had. Truly the highlight of our first trip to Japan. We hope to return one day."
