"A serene, full-service onsen resort on the gorgeous Mt Aso highlands. Room was spacious, clean, modern. Room service delicious. They had communal bath and also private baths you could reserve for 30 minutes. All in all a great experience. Stayed one night only, next time 2-3 nights for sure! Can recommend!"

"Nice view, nice room, nice service, nice food. The hotel is surrounded by very nice environment. The leaves were turning red when I visited, I can imagine how nice it would be when all leaf turns red. The facility is very simple and rustic. I could enjoy and relax in such beautiful environment. The staff was very nice and I felt welcomed. I had trouble with the in-door hotspring and the staff could help fix it and followed through. "This was advertised as having a kitchen. Kitchen facilities are in another building that are communal. The other option is to rent a gas burner. Everything is extra (e.g. trash, gas burner). Heater for room kept turning off. Barely enough space for 3 futons. Japanese communal bathrooms near bungalows, western style in main building. We only stayed one of the two nights booked even though we did not get a refund."
