"The hotel is about 2 minutes by bus from the Taitung Train station. The rooms are clean, but antique, its advisable to have some form of transport to get around. The breakfast is Chinese style with some breads."
"Inn by the Village is a very well run modern hotel right on the Main Street of Taitung. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of great restaurants in walking distance. Really enjoyed my stay."
"The room is clean and comfortable. Sound proof is quite good. The breakfast buffet is great. It serves mainly traditional Taiwanese foods such as congee, pork rib soup, air fry veggies, soy milk etc."
"I can’t believe this place only cost $26 USD!! It was easy to do self check in. The room was big, comfy bed, clean large shower. We didn’t use the microwave or hot water station n the common area but they were nice touches. It was less than 10 minutes walking from the train station on a flat well-lit street. Clean, safe, convenient, and cheap."
"Not a prime tourist hotel because the language barrier was fun, but no big deal. They just want to communicate breakfast, evening snack, and check out times.
Room was nice quality. I thought the window from bedroom into shower was unique, maybe bring my gf next time.
Breakfast was a pleasant mix of local and western items."
"Location is good. Quiet when I stayed there. Breakfast was Chinese style but more than adequate (coffee, fruit, toast, eggs, Chinese dishes). Ended at 9:45 so don’t go late for that last cup of coffee."
"Efficiently run hotel and part of a big chain. Everything worked but no special extra miles. Breakfast was good. Amenity room with tea and snacks was a bonus. Wouldn’t object to staying agin just not memorable."
"The room was spotless and lovely and cool. The check process was the first of it's kind for us, but very efficient. The hotel staff were very helpful. It made our stay a good one.
There is not a lot of touristy stuff to do in Taitung city if you do not have a car. We enjoyed what we did but having come from Hualien we were disappointed with the town."
