The Regent Hotel is in a great location. The breakfast buffet is 6 stars of 5 stars. Lots of variety - American, Chinese, Japanese, etc. The room was very clean and close to train station and shops. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very grand, but dated. Enjoyed the location wonderful staff was surprised to be charged for a soda in the mini bar when other hotels in Taiwan did not. There were no signs that indicated and that housekeeper had replaced it after the first night. State there because it’s reasonably close to the main station and pricing was good

The peoperty was nice, clean and spacious rooms. Staff amd service was mediocre for a 5 star property. Felt as we had judging eyes on us whenever we entered or left the hotel. Didn't leave or give the service level expected for such a brand name hotel. Compared to other places we have stayed, it was just meh Other than that it was fine. Location for the train and getting an uber was also quite convenient
