"We gave this 5 stars because the location and amenities fit us perfectly and it was exactly what we needed. We stayed for 4 glorious restful days. Victor, our host, was very careful about giving us our privacy yet extremely helpful with setting up with anything we needed. Henrique, his helper was also very helpful. Victor even arranged for us to receive a coconut (each) and Henrique opened them right in front of us. The juice was delicious and so was the meat. I didn’t know coconut meat could be so soft and easy to access. The bungalow was immaculately clean. Our huge freshwater tub was cleaned and filled upon our arrival and was very refreshing in hot weather as well as after a long swim in the lagoon and outdoor shower. There were stores nearby where we bought supplies for meals and a galley kitchen with stove, cooking plates and small fridge. Everything we needed after a 30 hour transit time from home. It was so nice to sleep with open windows and doors overlooking Victor’s beautiful garden and the lagoon. Even the rain was pleasant as we could sit out on the porch. The continuous breeze wafted with the enticing smell of tiare and plumbago flowers early morning and evening. The small fish pond was full of fish and a beautiful place to sit and think or meditate. We were entertained for hours watching the antics of the birds. I have to add that Victor’s wife was also very welcoming and helpful. She even sent Victor to us in the rain with blankets in case we got cold!"

"This property is located adjacent to the public Vaiava beach in Puna'auia. The entrance to the driveway is very difficult to find at night and its on a busy main road. There are several grocery markets nearby and also several gas stations. There is direct access from the property to the beach via a private gate and a shower with soap for the exit. The property also has an infinity edge swimming pool. The check-in instructions were very clear and we also were able to have an early check in and late check out. Henri the host was very responsive both before, during and after the rental. The house had initial supplies of basics like toilet roll, coffee, shampoo etc. An abundance of towels and beach towels. In addition, the lagoon was an excellent spot for snorkeling and several fins and masks, a boogie board and paddle board were also available. The kitchen was very well equipped and had an excellent wind up shutter to allow service inside and out. All appliances were almost new and were functional. There was no kettle to boil water for tea! The house had AC in 3 bedrooms but not in the 4th, fan only. There was no AC in the main house, just a small fan. There needs to be several fans to move the air. Main bedroom and living room had TV. A nice touch was the fully decorated Christmas Tree in the living room. There are tons of bugs and mosquitoes and there were some smoke rings to help but this is not adequate. We tried insect repellent etc. Not sure what the answer to this is."

"We have owned property listed with VRBO and rented from them many times. Villa Coco Lagoon is the best one ever that we have rented in the USA and Europe. It is new, comfortable, well-managed, and overseen by the owner who lives on the site. It is stocked with all the essentials you need including water sports supplies. The view is fantastic and it is close to the beach which is safe for infants and children.If you arrive the first time at night, arrange with the management company to lead you there from the airport since it was hard to find and need better directions from them. We will be back!"
