"This was our third stay at Magnolia, the staff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. The stream is beautiful and they just opened a restaurant. The food was really good. My only complaint is a cleanliness. I would suggest that they do some quality control around the cleanliness because the lodge was not clean. The floor was extremely dirty. There was some hair in the top. I didn’t feel comfortable using the kitchen because it was not clean.. just something to focus on moving forward. We had a great time though and enjoyed our stay, we love that we can take our dog! "

"Very pet friendly (including cats). Excellent value if you don’t need a lot of frills. (There is a refrigerator and microwave in the room.) Friendly staff. Charming rustic hotel in beautiful setting on lake. Easy drive to good restaurant/bar. We stop here every year on our way home but would definitely enjoy a longer stay. It’s probably even more beautiful in the summer with leaves on the trees."

"The rooms were clean but the hotel was being renovated, so the lobby and elevator was in poor condition. Housekeeping was vacuuming the floor right outside room before late check out. The vacuum is mad loud. I think it’s time for a new one. Overall my stay was ok. The hotel served its purpose for an overnight stay. "

"I stayed at this run-down motel in the Poconos where the experience fell far short of expectations. The bathtub was dirty, which made the bathroom feel unclean and uncomfortable. The receptionist at the front desk assisted us while wearing a bathrobe and pajamas, which came across as unprofessional for a hotel check-in setting. During check-in, she claimed there was no reservation under our name, but when I mentioned I would call Expedia and showed her the email receipt on my phone, she miraculously found it. To top it off, there was no hot water, forcing us to take cold showers and deal with the disruption to our plans and comfort."
