"The hotel is in a prime position on the river Bank and has an older style. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our twin room had a fabulous river view and was a good size with comfy beds and quality amenities. Breakfast was varied and tasty and served in the panoramic restaurant on the 3rd floor. It was served from 7am to 11am so it was great as we could take our time and enjoy the views. Highly recommended."

"A truly lovely place to stay! One of the best hotel views EVER. Very friendly staff, well-maintained and new rooms. And did I mention the views? Fewer frills than some of the bigger properties in the Duoro, but peaceful, comfortable and friendly. Highly recommended!"

"I absolutely loved this property. Probably one of the better few that I have stayed at throughout all my traveling years in the United States and Europe. The rooms were so clean and so was the entire facility. The Continental breakfast was delicious with many choices to choose from. We ate at the restaurant every night we were there because the food was amazing. Why bother trying to find a place for dinner? We usually had lunch at the local restaurants. The owner had great port that they make themselves and was super friendly and very helpful. The little terrace we had with our room was private and so lovely to sit and have a glass of wine in the evening before dinner. Overall, highly recommend this place. Thank you!"
