Grand Family Friendly Rocky Mountain Retreat Ski/Bike/Golf/Hike In Tabernash

GREAT LOCATION
This newly remodeled Rocky Mountain Lodge sits at the end of a spruce and pine dotted lane overlooking the Arapahoe National Forest. It's a perfect getaway for family reunions or groups of friends that's close to everything. A stunning home with a wrap-around deck and incredible views. We are five minutes from the YMCA of the Rockies (ziplining, tubing, hiking), Devil's Thumb Ranch and Spa, and Pole Creek golf course. Skiing, mountain biking, horseback riding, and fishing are also nearby. DirectTV and high speed internet are included for those times that you need to sit by the stone fireplace and check in with the outside world.

TWO LIVING AREAS, DINING AREA, AND DECK ARE PERFECT FOR LARGE GROUPS
Our home features 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, two living areas which are great for big groups, and a loft. Two bedrooms on the first floor with a shared bathroom work great for the kids with one queen bed and 4 bunk beds and a daybed with a trundle. The first floor rec room has darts, games, and a flatscreen TV to keep everyone entertained. The main floor offers two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a shared bathroom with a tub. The main floor family room has a satellite TV, hardwood floors with warm area rugs, and a cozy stone fireplace next to floor to ceiling windows with incredible views of the Rockies. A staircase leads upstairs to an overlooking loft with a couch and another TV for watching movies. There is an alcove with a double bed and private window. Off the loft is the spacious master suite with a private whirlpool tub and shower. The second loft in the master bedroom has an extra double bed and twin bed for bigger groups.

The well-stocked kitchen has been renovated and has all of the amenities for a simple morning breakfast or a full Thanksgiving dinner. Granite counter-tops, tile floor, and an ample island for any gathering (new for 2016). The new outdoor grill is perfect for year-round barbeque-ing. For meals, there is room for everyone at the long dining room table, the tables on the back deck, and at the kitchen island bar.

The stunning views visible through the vaulted floor-to-ceiling windows are only improved by the view from the wrap-around deck which offers peaceful solitude and fresh air. The hot tub down the steps has great sunset views and is perfect for any season in the cool mountain air.

We believe our home is the perfect for gathering for family reunions or groups of close friends. A few of the amenities you will enjoy:
• Bright and breezy with fresh air and great mountain views
• Main level Family room with a floor-to-ceiling stone gas fireplace and wall-mounted flat panel TV with streaming and DirectTV service
• Upper level Master Suite with Queen Bed and spacious bathroom with jetted tub
• Large wrap-around deck with BBQ grill and tables for dining outdoors
• Spacious kitchen with granite countertops, pots, pans, microwave, and two refrigerators
• Main level bedrooms with Queen Beds and shared bathroom
• Lower level with access to the hot tub and with a flat-panel TV, games, bedroom, and bunk room
• DirecTV on both main floor and lower level televisions
• Hi-Speed wireless Internet included

Our home is perfect for vacationing families and friends with lots of space to socialize or to sneak away with a book.

Christmas Family Vacation in Winter Wonderland

Our first time in Winter Park and we loved it. We usually stay in the Dillion/Frisco area, but found the WO area not as crowded, plenty of activities to do, and family friendly.

Perfect Mountain retreat in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Great location for exploring all that Grand County has to offer. We enjoyed hiking, biking, boating on Grand Lake, fishing, and shopping and dinning in Winter Park. Highly recommend!

Great property with wonderful mountain views

We really enjoyed our time in Granby with 20 of our closest family members. The property was a perfect fit. It was clean, big enough to accommodate us all, close to nearby attractions and placed in a great mountain setting.

our family had an awesome time

we had a wonderful stay, it was the first time in 7 years that all 19 of us were together, so we spent a lot of time at the home, just playing games, hid in seek, cooking together, making our favorites foods, grilling, hanging out on the deck, taking walks in the area, and enjoyed exploring in the mountains.

Great space for large groups in an ideal location

Great classic chalet with plenty of space and wonderful mountain views! Our group of 13 had tons of room to spread out. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub. The location is perfectly situated between Winter Park/Fraser and Granby/Grand Lake, so there plenty of options for activities within a 15 minute drive of the property!

30th birthday get away

I rented this house for a 30th birthday get away. It was the perfect size for the amount of people that joined us we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. I would highly recommend for larger groups. The view was gorgeous, we spent most of our time sitting around the fire pit enjoying the Colorado sunset!

Spacious Place to gather

We had a retreat for those in our organization who live and work in Colorado. The Winter Park Highlands was spacious enough for our whole group to gather. While 13 stayed on the property and 3 commuted locally, we all could gather in the spacious room and have meals together. Ideal setting for a retreat.

Great for groups

Great for accommodating large groups, plenty of space and beds. Great location, easy to get to. We had a fantastic stay overall. My only issue was the the cleanliness. The hot tub had a ring of yellowish foam around it and went unused because of this. There might be 100+ moths in the kitchen light, dirty floors, and the doors to the deck have seen much…much better days.

The perfect getaway!

We had a phenomenal experience! It was the perfect getaway weekend, at a great cabin. Our large group had plenty of space, but the house also provided large spaces for everyone to gather together. The hot tub was awesome, and we really enjoyed gathering around the fire pit. The only issue was that the garbage disposal didn’t work the whole time we were there. Other than that, the place was great!

Perfect family Christmas

The house looks small from the outside but inside there was plenty of room for our family of 15. We assigned all the kids to the lower level and the adults took the top two levels. We skied at Granby Ranch and Winter Park which were both easy drives. The kitchen was well stocked, the 2nd fridge was a lifesaver and there was adequate room for all of us.

Perfect Multi-Family Rental in a Perfect Location

We were amazed how close this rental was to Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Lake. We had three families in our party and fit comfortably. The cabin was clean, well kept, and had almost everything we needed. The only concern we had was the kitchenware. It seemed like the cabin was missing some every day items in the kitchen (including grilling tools), but we made do with what we had. We loved grilling out on the deck, watching late night movies, and all the kids loved the bunk rooms. The owner was great to communicate with and allowed us to have a late check out with no problem. Overall, it was a perfect place with comfortable beds, and enough space to go around! We'd stay here again and again!

Great, spacious home!

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. We had several families with little kids and there was more than enough space for all of us. There are tons of beds for everyone. This is a good home for large groups. The first floor family room was a big hit for the little ones and everyone enjoyed using the foosball. Nice view off the deck (You do see and hear the cars from the road off the deck but still very nice). We BBQ'd and enjoyed sitting outside. The kitchen was well stocked. The kitchen counter is large, which was nice since we had a lot of stuff. Clean place. Close to restaurants and winter park. We enjoyed going on walks near the home, which was so peaceful. Easy to book and the owner responds quickly. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay! Thank you for sharing your home with our family!

Rocky Mountain High

Stayed for 5 days. The location is amazing. We were in the middle of Granby (grocery store), Kemmering (river-rafting), Winter Park (summer all-day pass), Grand Lake, and RMNP. The beds all had sheets when we got there, everything was clean, and we had ample space for sleeping. The two fridges were helpful, the hot tub was lovely. We also had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking. The living area was great for hanging out and playing games. I didn’t have any troubles with wireless through most of the house. My biggest suggestion would be getting the sliding doors on the kitchen and living room corner up to par. It was a booger to get them open and closed. I don’t know if that requires an update or a whole new concept like French doors.

Well Stocked

My family and I have been staying in VRBO homes for more than 10 years. This Tabernash home was possibly the most well-stocked kitchen we have encountered. It is so nice to have more than salt and pepper to cook with so you don't have to buy a ton of spices to cook a decent meal. The cookware and appliances were great, too. Plenty of dishes, silverware, and glasses for large groups. It is obvious the owners tried to think of everything a family on vacation might need. There were plenty of comfortable beds for our party of 13 adults. We did a lot of hiking during the day, so were mostly there in the late afternoon and evenings, but we all enjoyed it. The hot tub was nice after a day of hiking. I would recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for lodging in the Fraser Valley. Jeff and Dawn were easy to contact and even contacted us on our arrival to make sure everything was as expected.

Good news, bad news

Generally this property is great for a large group unless you are planning to cook a lot of meals. The good news is there are plenty of beds and areas for kids and adults. The bad news is that the place overall needs a real rehab. All screen doors were broken/ripped. The garage where the trash goes made the entire basement area smell. The refrigerators were filthy and had to be cleaned by us. The cabinets were all sticky with drips of food. The dishwasher is falling out of the space. The main fridge was full of expired food. But the bedrooms were fine and the bathrooms clean. The owner was not responsive to requests for entry instructions and had to go to VRBO directly to get address and entry code. Finally instructions arrived one day before getting there. When I told him about the kitchen he denied that it was not clean but it was not clean. If you have a large group stay here but be prepared to clean it some before meal prep and cooking.

Amazing HOUSE!!

There were 10 of us that stayed in this house. It is a 3 level house and it was more than enough room. The kids, slept in different places nightly just because there were soo many rooms. The owners of the house were very friendly, easy to get a hold of and they helped every step of the way. The kitchen is to die for, forget an Island, it has a peninsula for the counter top. We did not want to leave the house..but we did. We went skiing at Grandby Ranch and had a blast! We are from Texas and not used to cold weather, so we OVER packed warm gear. The house was extremely warm, it has GREAT insulation, we found ourselves very hot at times. The kids enjoyed using the sleds and sliding down the hills, I must say, so did I. Our one regret was that we were not successful in making a snowman, due to the snow being soft and we didn't know how to form it. IF you are looking for a spacious house, this is definitely the place for you. There is literally a place to sleep in every crook of the house, a lot of space and privacy. The house is fully stocked in kitchen utensils, appliance and even towels. I could literally go on and on and on. I have used homeaway for A LOT of vacations, but I must say this is the BEST house thus far and they had the most outstanding customer service!! This was a great Christmas vacation!!
