"We arrived a bit early but the lovely receptionist asked for our room to be cleaned as a priority and provided coffee and delicious biscuits while we waited. The room was the one with the balcony and was wonderful. Very spacious and quiet despite some children being in the large room down in the garden nearby but we only heard them when outside. The breakfasts were very good. They do get busy early on as Hungarians and Germans seem to eat early and some even beat us down and we are usually always up first. When our room's coffee machine didn't seem to work (one of the two at breakfast broke too, not due to me!) the lovely receptionist gave me a coffee from there plus cake that day! The parking was near to our room and very handy albeit at £9.50 a day but parking is a nightmare in the lovely town as there are fines threatened everywhere so pay £9.50 instead. We didn't use the pool as it seemed unheated but there were many folk using it when we got back each day. The wifi worked fine to check emails and listen to Radio Caroline on the internet."

"Family with one teenager, from the UK. We were super impressed with this hotel. We don't speak Hungarian, but we were made so welcome, particularly by the reception staff, who responded to requests for kettles, an iron, and numerous other things. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of sunbeds and the variety of food at breakfast and dinner. It was such a relaxing stay — we absolutely loved it!"

"I had a wonderful stay at Danubius Hotel Annabella in Balatonfüred. The location is absolutely beautiful—right on the lakefront and along the promenade, with easy access to shops, cafés, and restaurants. It truly doesn’t get better than this setting. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, and the amenities made our stay especially enjoyable. The pools and saunas were fantastic, and having access to a private beach was a real highlight. The food was amazing at the hotel restaurant! What stood out most was the exceptional service. A special thank you to the staff and manager, who were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially with arranging an early check-in. Their kindness and professionalism made a great stay even better. I will gladly return with my family and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Balatonfüred."

"Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich direkt am Balaton, wo man nach wenigen Schritten direkt am Ufer ins Wasser kann oder dort auf der Wiese oder einer Bank entspannen kann. Dieser Teil des Balaton ist durch die Zäune der dort stehenden Häuser eingezäunt und den Bewohnern dieses Abschnitts vorbehalten. In der Vorsaison war kaum jemand am Strand. Das Wasser ist sauber, endlos flach und einfach herrlich. Dies ist das absolute Highlight des Hauses. Wenn man möchte, kann man mit dem hauseigenen Boot aufs Wasser, was auch etwas Besonderes ist. Die Vermieter sind sehr herzlich, offen und bei Problemen jederzeit ansprechbar. Man mietet vom Garten gesehen die rechte Haushälfte mit kleiner Terrasse, die Seite links wird teilweise vom Vermieter und Familie benutzt. Das Haus war sehr sauber, hat hier und da aber schon bessere Zeiten gesehen (Wände, Einrichtung in Bädern). Von den drei Schlafzimmern ist eins auf den Fotos zu sehen. Eines der beiden anderen liegt mit Terrasse zum Garten hin, während das dritte im Gang des Hauses liegt. Hier passt knapp ein halbhohes Hochbett und ein Einzelbett hinein. Zur ersten Etage gelangt man über eine Wendeltreppe. Das Haus hat insgesamt eine interessante Architektur, ganz sicher etwas Besonderes. Die Lage ist super, mitten in Szantod, ein Urlaubshotspot, was man auch an den Preisen merkt."

"Both breakfast and dinner had a good variety. The dining area was clean and so was the room assigned to us. There was a tiny bit of pressure to purchase drinks at dinner time. There was maintenance ongoing with the steam room and one of the saunas but this was not informed at all on the booking page. Likewise the beach which belongs to the hotel was also unavailable and again not mentioned on the booking page. These information should have been made available on the booking page and also not mentioned by staff until I specifically requested information. What’s with the secrecy? I find such behaviour unacceptable and short of rude. If such facilities are unavailable then I expected a discount on the room rates."
