Gelone B&B, good location for exploring Siracusa

Gelone is in a good location, a 10 - minute walk to the archeology museum and a 15 - 20 minute walk to Ortygia. Sebastian and Eleanora are very nice, helpful people and Sebastian gave me a guidebook and a map that really helped me find my way around. The breakfast was good and there are good, basic restaurants close by. The furnishings are a bit worn, but I spent most of my time out exploring Ortygia, so it wasn't a real concern.

Great location for all the sights

Walking distance to all of the sights - great location. Parking on street worked out well. But no really close restaurants.

Stay at Gelone B&B Syracusa

The location is good, 20-30 minutes walk either to the Greek ruins or to Ortygia. You have to announce your arrival one day in advance in order to make arrangements for accessing the apartment. I have not anticipate it and when we phoned at noon, arriving from Syracuse, the owner was unfortunately not available to let us in until 5-6 pm. The parking during the day might be a problem, the owner has access to a parkade 3 blocks away for the amount of 5 $/day. Easy parking in the street at night. The breakfast was simple, the owner made efforts to make our stay pleasant.

Agréable et très bien situé

Bel accueil et nous accompagne pour garer l'auto dans un stationnement (5 euros / jour). Grande chambre avec bon petit déjeuner. Géographiquement, super bien situé pour découvrir le site archéologique et l'ile d'Ortigia ( ça vaut le détour). À proximité,restaurants et magasins. Bon rapport qualité -prix.

Muy buena estadía

Muy buena estadía para una noche. La persona que nos recibió fue muy amable, la habitación estaba limpia y a ubicación es muy buena para visitar la ciudad. Desde allí hicimos todo caminando. El desayuno se podría completar pero de todos modos estuvo bien. Tenía buena conexión de wifi

Ótima opção em Siracusa!

O atendimento do Sr Sebastiano e esposa foi incrível, muito atenciosos! Fizeram-nos sentir em casa e acolhidas, nos deram muitas dicas sobre a cidade! Quarto muito bom, banheiro e chuveiro muito bons, café completo. Uma ótima opção de hospedagem B&B em Siracusa! Voltaríamos lá, com certeza 👍

Super dejlig overnatning hos Gelone Siracusa

Vores oplevelse med Gelone Siracusa kan kun bedømmes som helt i top. Vi meddelte stedet vi først kunne være fremme omkring kl 24.00. Og da vi kom var det fruen en huset der tog imod os, på trods af hun ikke kunne et ord på Engelsk følte vi os mere end velkommen. Vores 2 børen Marie og Viktor på 6 og 3 år fik begge kæmpe krammer og vi blev vist frem til vores værelse lyne hurtigt. Og næste morgen var der en dejlig morgenmad med alt hvad vi behøvede og også her her en fantastisk og dejlig service. Så helt klart et super god oplevelse.

Ottimo !!

Il B & B si trova su corso Gelone, a circa 10 minuti a piedi da Ortigia. Le stanze sono grandi e comode con tutto ciò che serve, frigobar, tv, libri e settimana enigmistica. L'arredamento non è all'ultima moda ma non conta perchè si ha a disposizione il proprietario, una persona simpatica e disponibile. Colazione ottima con prodotti locali. Ci torneremo !

Das Gelone ist nah an allen Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Unser Aufenthalt im Gelände war geprägt von der Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Inhaber. Sie standen uns jederzeit mit Informationen zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants u..ä. zur Verfügung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

This was a good stay!

The mattress could be thicker, but I managed. The proprietor was super good, attentive and trie to be helpful, despite our language incompatibility. Another couple was checking out as I checked in, and they were obviously pleased.

An enjoyable stay at Gelone B & B

The Gelone B & B is located almost opposite the Corso Gelone (street) bus stop. A 15 min walk from Greek and Roman archaeological sites and a short bus trip to the beautiful Ortigia Island. The owners were most welcoming and helpful who recommended two good local restaurants ( Osteria re Pititteddi a few minutes walk away and The 8 O'Clock Trattoria a 15 minute walk away, each of whom allowed a discount to Gelone guests. The owners Sabastian and Maria are lovely people.
