The hotel is right in the heart of the shopping district in the CBD at Pitt street mall. Shopaholics this is the location for you. Across the road from the state theatre. Lots of taxis if you need one. Concierges were all very helpful. Tram stop is very close on George street. Quick tram ride to china town or the harbour. Room is very spacious. No mini bar. Water is replenished daily. Room has a bath and separate walk in shower. Nespresso machine but only three pods of coffee. Beds are comfortable with a proper quilt cover so no wrangling of the sheets. Room service was a little bit slow but they will bring up extra towels, ice, etc. breakfast buffet was very good. The cook to order omelettes excellent. Lots of variety on the buffet. The automated coffee was not so good. The state theatre across the road has very good coffee and also an original character building interior so well worth a look. Have a cocktail hour every day! Great stay see you next time!

This hotel is in a central location. Train station 2 mins and walking distance to every thing such as the opera house (22 mins) and lots of restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is big and spacious and very clean. If you are running the marathon this is ideal your location and they are many hotels nearby. The mall is connected to the hotel. Literally in the heart of everything. Very safe and easy to navigate around. The drinks and food at the hotel were very good. The only downfall is that they didn’t have a microwave in the room. But they were so helpful in heating up our foods. The gym is small but enough machine to get a good work out in. The pool is nice as well.

Reception staff were good, very helpful, and good breakfast, but the hotel needs some TLC, long waiting for lifts with one lift out of action for the duration of our stay, 2 stage to get to rooms, 1 lift from street entrance to reception the second lift to bedrooms. This is not a 5 star hotel, 4 at best, it’s redeeming features were its staff, great reception and restaurant staff. Guest rooms ok, bathroom in a below par standard. We will probably try another hotel when we return in September

Disliked: Cleanliness
We liked the that it was central in the city , but the room was not clean ,we had to ask for coffee cups , wine glasses , toilet paper was broken and one of our rooms were not cleaned daily . Everything was addressed very quickly but wouldn’t return .

Great central location. Excellent breakfast with lots of options for families. Bathrooms a bit dated but well maintained and clean.
