We really enjoyed our time in Sutivan. The village is wonderful. The hosts were great and they will meet you at the Ferry and drive you to the house. They were also helpful with tips on where to rent cars and helped with any questions we had about the area and services. The house is clean and tucked away through some cobblestone streets and close to everything. The courtyard is a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine, read or eat a family meal together. We stayed 9 days and it flew by. We had our 7 year old with us and he loved it too. We enjoyed a water park in Supetar and there is a wonderful local sandy beach with shallow water, Lovrecina beach that you'll want to visit in addition to Ziatni Rat Beach. If you are a kite boarder or windsurfer that place is awesome. Also, there's a nice little zoo worth the trip that has two small zip line chairs for kids and it's only 2km from Sutivan. If you like to hike, Vidova Gora is a nice 3-4 hour round trip with great views of Bol. You access it from Bol before you get to the beaches. If you like to bike there are unbelievable well marked trails all over the place and you can rent a bike in the village. The Island has probably 150 bike trails. There's also paddle boards and kayaks available for rent. At night they set up a nice little outdoor play area with a trampoline, Foosball table, etc in the village for the kids. There's also a small park for really little kids. You can buy a skateboard while there and the streets block cars so the kids ride bikes and skateboards, etc in the village. The house is comfortable and has a nice kitchen so you can cook your own meals. There are 3 markets in the village that will get you by. There are some nice restaurants in the village as well. FYI-It's hard to find steaks or chicken in the markets. It's the land of ham. If your staying for any length of time renting a car is a good idea as taxi's are pricey and driving in Brac is easy. Only going into Bol do the roads get a bit narrow like in Italy. Everyone speaks English and it's a relaxed atmosphere. The people seem to value the tourists rather then see you as a nuisance. We went in early June so it was not very busy and I would recommend that because it wasn't crowded and easy to get service.
