"Very close to Kawaguchiko station. Clean and tidy. Has a microwave, a mini fridge and a kettle with a few options for tea. There are two convenience stores about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and Lake Kawaguchiko is about a 15 minute walk. Staff aren’t present on the property outside of cleaning (I think) which worked okay. We checked in and out by a tablet at the entrance. The bunk bed we had wasn’t super comfortable, but overall the place is definite worth the price. It was unfortunate...

"We stayed here for two nights in one of the small double pods (up the ladder). It was a bigger space than we expected and quite comfortable. The walls are understandably thin, so be prepared to hear people in the rooms around and below you. There are earplugs provided, which is helpful. The staff were all lovely and we really enjoyed our dinner around the fire! We also walked to a nearby onsen and found the location to be very convenient for exploring Hakone. Would definitely recommend! "

"Highly recommend this hostel for anyone staying around the Fuji area! As soon as I arrived, I was welcomed by the friendly staff, who all spoke English. I was shown a tour of the hostel which was helpful and got to choose which bed to stay in (tip - don't sleep next to the dehumidifier, it's got a constant hum, the hostel is not to blame for this!). Michael was very helpful when providing info and tips about climbing Mount Fuji, without his guidance I wouldn't have been able to climb. Nice and...

"Foo was an amazing host, I had a great time each night I was there. The atmosphere was very welcoming and cozy, the onsen onsite was very relaxing after a long day of walking. "

"Third time of staying in Atami and also third time in Guesthouse Megumi. Fantastic location - try to book when the fireworks festival is on in mid-July, as you get a fantastic view from the rooftop terrace. The private rooms are simple with shared bathroom/toilet, but that doesn’t bother me. Will stay here again for sure. "

"Nice staff, clean and have free green tea and coffee. However there is no private bathroom in our room. The property is up the hill and very difficult to walk up with luggage. The bus runs every half hour from 7:30-8:00 am and then every hour after that. You have to call taxi after dinner near station. "

"熱海駅からタラタラ歩いて15分くらい。散策がてら歩くのには良い！利用が初めてでチェックインの顔認証が大変だったが、女性スタッフが丁寧に対応してくれ、ことなきを得た。施設の作りは簡素だが清潔に保たれておりシャワーが男女各1ヶ所、トイレが各2ヶ所と少なかったが問題なかった。ドミトリーだったか、この日の宿泊者のマナーも良く夜は静かに寝ることができた！ただ、エクスベデアの紹介ではタオルありとなっていたが有料だったので訂正願いたい。でもGWで３，０００円もしなかったので文句なし！次回も機会があったら利用したい。"

Fuji in the room - walkable distance to train station - there are restaurants nearby which will open till 10 or 11pm - hostel provides free bread, coffee and fruit - condition of the room is better than expected Cons: - the host/staff was not really hospitable, this didn't mean any impoliteness though - sound insulation is really really bad, please be aware if you are a light sleeper - not enough slippers, need to bring your own one"

"It was a last minute booking for just one night because we were meeting friend for dinner and didn't want to drive back to Tokyo. "100% perfect view of Fuji-san!! Short walk from Kawaguchiko Station and the route is generally flat and well lit at night. The property was very modern and minimalist. Room was clean but had some drain flies in the toilet. Very spacious and can easily fit four adults and luggage. Walls were not very sound-proof but was still acceptable. "
