"Check in was very efficient - Pool area was great for adults and children. Indoor pool clean. We have room service handle Dinner which was extremely delicious and hot, prices very reasonable. Breakfast was good too, and granddaughter 12 and no charge, that was a good deal. Will def. Stay here again. "

"I don't recommend anyone to go I spend two nights.The room was so dirty.They have fully kitchen.All the dishes are so dirty and sticky and greasy.The floor was so dirty.The mattresses were disgusting.I have to complain and have the housekeeping come to clean my room, that I can continue my stay."

"The room was nasty. The tile floor was sticky. The bedding had stains all over it, some looked like blood other stains looked like makeup which makes me think the bedding was not recent cleaned. There was hair on the sheets and pillows. We purchased our own pillows and sheets and blankets to cover the bedding supplied. The cabinets in the kitchen area were falling off. the bedroom closet door was falling off the hinge. The bathroom door couldn’t close bc it was falling off. The shower was dirty and so was the shower curtain. The sofa and chair were stained and we used a towel to sit on. There were holes in the wall at the entrance and not weather stripping at the bottom of the door allow bugs and heat to come into the room. There was damaged areas around the hot tub. The refrigerator was not clean along with the cups and plates provided. The drapery was shredded and discolored and nasty. The porch furniture was sticky and nasty to the touch. Overall the room was disappointing. You should have more accountability for the cleaning crew. "

"Could have been a lot better. Way overpriced for the service you get. No house keeping unless you ask for it and then they add an extra charge. When we left we had to take our trash out to the trash bin on the floor we were staying on. Last night was bad. The people in the the room next to us were extremely loud. Yelling and cussing at kids and each other and vice versa for almost 3 hours. Will not stay there again! "

"The Islander Inn is one of my favorite places to stay on the Carolina coast. The staff are professional and yet, down-to-earth. The room was very clean, updated, and bright. Excellent place to stay with family or solo!"

"I stayed at Sand Dunes Resort for 2 days with my friend, and this was genuinely the worst hotel/resort experience of my life. We originally booked a room with two queen beds and a kitchen, but the first room we were assigned had a cockroach in the kitchen. After we complained, they moved us to another room just two doors down — which honestly didn’t feel like much of an upgrade. The cleanliness was absolutely unacceptable. The bath towels were dirty, and the only clean towels in the room were the hand towels, which is what both of us had to use after showering. That alone says everything. The bathroom/shower was terrifying. The bottom of the tub felt so soft, unstable, and sunken in that it literally felt like it was going to collapse while showering. Also, don’t expect even basic hotel essentials. They did not provide toothpaste, and the soap they gave smelled so bad it honestly felt like I was washing myself with vegetable oil or canola oil. If you enjoy staying somewhere that feels closer to a dumpster than a resort, then this place might be for you. Otherwise, save your money and book literally anywhere else. I would never recommend Sand Dunes Resort to anyone, and I will definitely never stay here again."
